Syncing with subdomain install

or perhaps that’s not what I want… I’m open to suggestions

PROBLEM:
My site is split between two contextual worlds, graphic/web design and audio production/DJing (i’m a busy man)

Originally I was considering just slapping it all on the same install, but then I thought of potential readers and how they would have to weed through irrelevant info to get what they want. There are also some SEO concerns as I would like to keep all relevant info together on each domain.. the parent domain would be graphics and subdomain would be audio.

Now.. to my knowledge, the best way to accomplish this is with an extra install of TXP on the subdomain. The part I cant get my head around is how I can have the info from that subdomain show updates on the parent site.

I suppose more elegant solution would be to assign a section to reside on the subdomain, this way I could manage both with just one install.. but am pretty sure this is impossible.

How would you tackle this challenge?

One easy suggestion: Feed your main domain from your subdomain with bit_rss. I use it to collect article headlines from here to over there (Even separated by source article category. Whopping!).
