problem with category links inside a section
when i am in section “contact”, the horizontal navigation bar at the top of my page points at:
http://localhost/txp/index.php?c=Thailand&s=Contact
While it should actually point at the link below, and this from anywhere in my site. What is the best way to get around this?
http://localhost/txp/index.php?c=Thailand
I need someone to protect me from all the measures they take in order to protect me

I dont want to generate a complete category list so i create the individually like this

was trying just that and it doesn’t seem to work for categories edit: unless using zem_link_reborn which I wasn’t aware of, thanks wet
also a simple <txp:zem_link linkid="n">foo</txp:zem_link> for an article seems deprecated in 4.03 or at least I can’t make it work

mary, that is the whole tag trace. unless you mean the whole source? i could not figure out how to post it here (using code or bc.. doesnt work) so i posted a .txt here.
i created this by turning on debugging mode and then copy pasting the source

Okay, I was thrown off by the fact that you only have a couple Txp tags in that page.
Are you running svn code?

not 100% sure what svn means but im running the latest txp install, downloaded v recently. the behaviour i am seeing, should it not be happening? i thought it was a mistake in the way i set up my categories / sections

If you don’t know what that means, then no, you’re not. :) I thought you might have been ‘cuz it was behaviour I was aware existed in 4.0.3. Unfortunately, it looks like that is expected behaviour, and what’s more, it can’t be overridden. I’d recommend finding another way to make the links.
For example:
<a href="<txp:site_url /><txp:category name="Laos" />"><txp:category name="Laos" /></a>It’s somewhat longer, but it will do the same job and link the way you want it to. :)
