Login and PW Being Rejected Post Update
This is a new one. I cleared out my cache, cookies, and history in Firefox for the first time in a long time a few days after updating my version of Textpattern to the most recent version. It has, since, begun refusing my login and password which i know to be 100% accurate. I have even gone so far as to doublecheck their accuracy by viewing the hardcoded config file. I am now unable to log into (as I am the only publisher) my own website. I can’t create a new account, or modify the old one – I am at a complete loss of what to do short of completely reinstall TP which I refuse to do. I’ve doublechecked everything from the database connection to the config file and everything appears fine. But whenever I attempt to login I get the ‘Invalid login/password’ response – what am I to do??

The only constellation where this could happen, is if you installed textpattern with mysql4.1 or newer, and then downgraded mysql to 4.0 or older. (Because textpattern relies on a built-in function of mysql that changed between 4.0 and 4.1). Anyway there is a solution documented in Textbook:

The MySQL login in the config file is not the same as the Textpattern user login.

Re: Login and PW Being Rejected Post Update
Well is there a way (backdoor hopefully) that I can view all the publishers accounts logins and passwords? I mean, I’m not a moron I’m 99% sure of what the login and password is, I’ve been manually entering it for over a year now so im fairly certain on its accuracy but I need to get in to my admin panel by any means necessary. If I can somehow view or edit a publishers account (mine…only one there is) I could get in. Anyone?

Check the link Sencer posted. You’ll have to actually reset the password, because passwords are not stored in plain text, but hashed, which is irreversible.
