Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] rss_suparchive - article archive list
I’m here again :) with another suggestion… Could you do something like this:
txp:rss_suparchive section=”!first-sec,!sec-sec,!third-sec” category=”!index” …
So I need to display all section except three and more I don’t want to display articles with category “index”…

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] rss_suparchive - article archive list
Hi,
I’m using this lovely plug-in in conjunction with rss_posted, and was wondering if there was a way exclude (well, not have to include) the <txp:rss_suparchive /> tag in the archive template unless the url contained a date?
If not, could a conditional tag possibly be thrown in to solve this? Something along the lines of:
——
<txp:if_rss_suparchive_if_filteredbydate>
<txp:rss_suparchive />
</txp:rss_suparchive_if_filteredbydate>
——
My apologies if this has been asked before.
Egor

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] rss_suparchive - article archive list
I was wondering if there is a way to use rss_suparchive to get the month and year as the links, but not include the year in the link text, but rather have the months grouped by the year they are in?
I’m seeking an output which could be styled to look like this:
2006
Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug
2005
Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec
If so, what would the tag look like? If not, are you aware of another way I could achieve this?
Many thanks – keep up the great work, Rob!

And what about localised dates? That’d be awesome ;)

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] rss_suparchive - article archive list
danboe,
Here’s a form:
---
<txp:if_different><h3><txp:posted format="%Y" /></h3></txp:if_different>
<txp:if_different><txp:rss_posted dateformat="" yearformat="" sep1="" sep2="" linktosection="whatever" /> | </txp:if_different>
---
Ideally, that should be a <dl>, but there’s the basic idea.

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] rss_suparchive - article archive list
I’ve been using this to make an event list, which has worked beautifully. Just two questions: first, is it possible to get the title rather than the name of a section, like you’ve done with the categories?
Also, I’m using subdateformat=”%I:%M %p”, which I would expect would return something like “6:00 p.m.” However, it writes “06:00 “ instead. I’m guessing that this has something to do with how the date formats are set on my server, but I haven’t been able to figure out how to change that.
Many thanks!

I figured that was why they weren’t coming up properly. I really haven’t been able to figure out how to change my locale, though (or even if it’s a Textpattern or PHP thing). Would you be able to post (or direct to) instructions on how to change this, if/when you have a chance?

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] rss_suparchive - article archive list
hey,
I am using this plugin but <code>useartcat1</code> wont work.
It displays nothing when I use it.
I use it in this txp code line <code><txp:rss_suparchive_bycat showdate=“0” section=“artists,genres” limit=“5” /></code>
But this displays every article that is tagged with something from catergory1 and category2.
I just want to show articles that are related with a category in category 1. (or category 2)
Can I do that? That would be awesome.

Still searching and editing code but stil no solution.
Anyone a hint?

Hey, I solved it by editing some code out of the plugin.
But how can I fetch in the plugin the article image? (if there is one)

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] rss_suparchive - article archive list
I’ve built an archive page locally for my redesign using this plugin and I’m excited to go live with it soon. This archive page is addressable using 3 different URL schemes:
1. /archives/2006 — all posts for a specific year
2. /archives/2006/09 — all posts for a specific month
3. /archives/?c=books — all posts for a specific category
The page itself works great for all of this, but I’d like to place a heading on the page that identifies where the user is. For example, using the above examples, I’d like to return:
1. [h1]Blog archives: 2006[/h1]
2. [h1]Blog archives: September 2006[/h1]
3. [h1]Blog archives: books[/h1]
Is there any way of doing this with your various plugins, or is there another one I can use to do so?

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] rss_suparchive - article archive list
Hi!
Can anyone confirm that the offset feature is not working on the latest version (0.18)?
I’m using one of Rob’s lab examples with offset and no matter whatever value I put in, it always shows the same list.
Thanks! =)

How do it display random items?
sortby=“rand()” wont work.
<code><txp:wab_suparchive_bycat showdate=“0” section=“genres,artists” limit=“5” /></code>

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] rss_suparchive - article archive list
I think this question has been bandied about several times on this site, but in my searches I haven’t been able to find/understand the possible solutions that have been proposed. I’ve installed this plug-in, and got it working. But here’s what I’d like to do: when I use rss_suparchive_menu to link to the various monthly pages, I don’t want a list of titles or excerpts, I’d like to list the full text of all the entries for the month. There must be a way to do this, right? Can someone help me out by telling me what it is? Much thanks.

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] rss_suparchive - article archive list
freshface – Check the plugin help. You should be using sortyby=“RANDOM”
titalayo – You can do that by specifying your own article form as in this example. Then you can display the full article body on your article form.
