CSS: Pink bar (link color) showing up in my logo, firefox win & mac
Hey all. This is really bugging me. My logo is showing a pink bar on the left side in Firefox win and mac. The pink is the color of my link color for a:link, etc, and I believe it is the img tag that is the culprit.
Check it out at http://www.artrogue.com/
Any help appreciated.

Yeah, it’s the image tag. A quick fix would be to add border: 0; to #headmas a img {}. I only did a live-edit in Firefox, so border seemed to do it. It looks great in Opera 9 (no border issue).
<pre>
#headmast a {
width: 248px;
height: 65px;
background: url(/images_core/galactic_text_web.gif) no-repeat 0 0;
display: block;
overflow: auto; /*so you don’t get a huge dotted border in gecko browser upon :active*/
text-indent: -9999px;
}
</pre>
<code>
div id=“headmast”>
<a href=”/”>Art Rogue<a>
</div>
</code>

To add to deldindesigns suggestion, make sure you override any text-decoration styles you’ve applied to your regular anchors to none. If you don’t, earlier versions of Firefox (pre 1.5) will give you an ugly line spanning across the screen (in your case, that would be the pink underline on hover).
#headmast a, #headmast a:hover {
text-decoration: none;
}

Thanks all. Much appreciated. It’s funny, every time I post in a css type forum on other css specific sites, It takes a while, if ever, to get a response. Here at the TXP support forum I get needed help much faster.

I was just thinking the same thing while reading this thread, quite a lot of CSS knowledge in the Textpattern community.

is this symantically correct?
#head
{
background-color:#070909;
color:#fff;
text-align: bottom-left;
margin:20px;
height: 30px;
}
a #head a:hover {
text-decoration: none;
}
a img {
border: none;
}

Maybe you should change:
#head a, #head a:hover {
text-decoration: none;
}

hmmm, that didnt work. i’m using the markup for link_to_home:
<div id=“head”>
<txp:link_to_home><img src=“images/logo.jpg” id=“logo” alt=“logo” /> </txp:link_to_home>
should i be using a different CSS class for this?
