Help needed newbie
Hi, Guys have just installed textpattern on my server and have got to the set up page. have installed mysql on my machine and all is working fine. Whats confusing me is the database issue……do I need to create a new database in mysql….if so are there any fields I need to creat etc or am I barking up the wrong tree.
Hope someone can help me or point me in the right direction

You only need to create a database before installing Textpattern. During the install the tables will be created.

You need to have created a database, and have a mysql-user with the correct permissions.
Tables etc. are created during setup.

how the hell do I upload my database to my server space. have created a database in mysql but cannot get it onto my server have phpmyadmin on my server space.
Any ideas guys

You don’t upload a database, you need to create one on the server. Your host will have instructions somewhere on how to do that.
