Random presentation of articles

Is it possible to have articles from a specific category appear in a random presentation instead of in an ascending or descending order.

If so how would I do it?

Or would it be possible to have a random presentation of thumbnails from a particular image category, and have those thumbnails produce popups to a full size of the thumb.

Is sortby="rand()" what you’re looking for?

txp:image category=“stuff” sortby=“rand()” / or

preferably this
txp:upm_image type=“popup” image_id=“rand()” class=“image” show_width=“no” show_height=“no” /

txp:image is for displaying one image only. You would need txp:image_index or one of the plugins.
I don’t know upm_image, the help text for the plugin will probably tell you if it takes a sortby attribute.
