The he-he language?

That’s got to be an inside joke. ;) Or is it for real?

Re: The he-he language?

I think it’s probably an error, should be he-il.

Speaking of which: almost no response to this post. There are probably still some supported languages with missing locales.

I was just playing a bit. I figured it was a typo, but it didn’t occur to me what exactly.

Re: The he-he language?

Background: 4 letter Language codes are always the two letter language identifier, followed by the country code. For example, there is:

  • en-gb, or English (Great Britain)
  • en-us, or English (United States)
  • en-ca, or English (Canada)

Textpattern doesn’t have the last one; I use en-gb since it’s closest (Canadian English is… special).

I think it’s probably an error, should be he-il.

To further confuse the matter, we’ve got both, actually:

  • he-he
  • he-il, or Hebrew (Israel)

I don’t know Hebrew, so I don’t know for sure, but I don’t think Hebrew varies by location. ?

I was just playing a bit. I figured it was a typo, but it didn’t occur to me what exactly.

No! We must squash all attempts at being humorous! ;D

Oh yeah? Well it’s certainly the most masculine language code I’ve seen.

That reminds me of some interesting hexadecimal color codes, courtesy of McSweeney’s. (Ahhhh, McSweeney’s. Get into it. It strikes me that Dean probably likes and reads this site…and no, not because of the hexidecimal cuteness, but because of all the other literary genious taking place there.)
