Getting basic news section working with rss_supa
Hi.
I am struggling to sort out a basic ‘news’ section on my site. I just want to show the 10 latest articles when you land in the news section, and then have a menu of in the side bar by month and by category (with counts of number of articles)..
So in my page content area I have this:

<txp:if_individual_article>
<txp:article form=“newsitem” />
<txp:else />
<txp:rss_suparchive section=“news” form=“newslist” limit=“10” />
</txp:if_individual_article>

and in the sidebar:

<txp:mdn_sectionlink [section=\“news\”]>Latest 10 articles</txp:mdn_sectionlink>

Month

<txp:rss_suparchive_menu section=“news” limit=“10” />

Topic

<txp:cbs_category_list showcount=true wraptag=ul break=li class=rssMenu />

…which is kind of ok. Except that I can’t figure out I can show a header ‘latest’ above the 10 most recent (ie when you land)….and then also show the category title or the month above the list of articles when you click on a cat or month in the sidebar. Not sure I am using rss_suparchive to its full effect.
Thank for any help. Still not quick got my brain thinking in textpattern yet ; |
