Set comments
I have a site where for a month comments have been off. I want to set all articles that have the comments to off, and switch them on again. Is it necesarry to go article by article?

Yes. In the next release of Textpattern, you’ll be able to do this en-masse (check off a bunch of articles, and turn their comments off/on). Until then, it is either one by one, or, run an SQL query on the database to do it for you (either using phpMyAdmin or Rob’s plugin).
If you want to use a query, you’d do something like:
update textpattern set Annotate = 1;
That would turn on commenting for all existing articles.
