a shortcut to the forum

Don’t know whether this belongs here, but …

After leaving the forum i logged in into txp admin and clicked on the “go…”- menu/list/…thing top right hand to skip to … whereever. This is what i saw:

The original menus were gone. Fun stuff!! :))
But it didn’t work. Such behavior i’ve had several times before, but it changed only the menu structure txp produces itself, and so i thought it might have happened as i fiddled around with my language file. But today i used the english version.

It’s ok, and i don’t want to complain (i’m using an outdated browser on a more than overaged mac) but does anybody have an explanation?

Re: a shortcut to the forum

Installed and active I have seven. The ones that make changes to the backend UI are ajw_admin_workflow (creates a menu), ied_hide_in_admin, Newsletter Manager, and (ain’t never this one!) upm_image.
What I’m a bit curious about is, where is this misguided information stored? The window it came from was closed! Umm, maybe I reused it to go to txp.

You’ve either got some plugin doing it (for whatever strange reason), or, it’s your browser acting whacky. Is it possible for you to:

  • clear your browser cache
  • try another browser
  • disable all your plugins (temporarily)

?

Re: a shortcut to the forum

a & c: no problem at the moment. But it’ll be hard to track down as

b: it happens quiet irregularly and IE5 mac (v. for OS9) is the only one that builds a hierarchic menu of the optgroup. Viewed in the other browsers that I can use on this … “machine” … the optgroup is displayed as a list. These perform correctly.

But I’ll try and switch everything off and clear the cache. Here we go …

Re: a shortcut to the forum

Hi,

I had this trouble a while back, it was a plugin issue and disabling wasn’t helping, i had to delete the plugin from the server and then reinstall.

Hope this helps.
