Christopher Scott - Ramblings of an amatuer web designer

Christopher Scott

Well here it is, my first attempt at textpattern. It’s the your classic blog/porfolio site, txp powered. The live-preview comments dont work yet, im waiting on my hosting provider to get back with me on a certain issue. Anyway, any and all comments are welcome. Thanks guys.

Very nice work!
The colours work well for me. The large footer on your home page looks really good — I think you should display it on every page.

An altogether very good job!

Edit: what’s a sugarglider???

Excellent piece of design. Particularly like the information in the About section.

It’s funny you mention the large footer on the homepage, i was actually just thinking of putting a shortened version on each page, but i didn’t want every page to be too packed with stuff, as I enjoy simplicity in web design more than most. I’m definately going to consider it though, and thank you for the constructive comments.

Oh, and a sugarglider is a small marsupial that looks kinda like a chinchilla (at least thats what i’ve heard). They’re from australia, and our’s is named Bruce.

You made it onto Design Melt Down

“I REALLY love the Christopher Scott site. The blog is only a portion of the site, but still a very significant one. Look at the layout of the site, it defies the traditional default blog template, and as a result has a distinct and memorable feel. I think one really important thing to point out is that he only has copy from the latest entry on the home page.”

Congrats!
