404 with my hands in the air

okay.

hello.

i did go over the faq and all that stuff… i am not that smart. so hopefully the answer wasnt looking me in the eyes.

http://www.deadintherain.com/

its coming up with 404 in places on the page and it seems to be treating the txp divs as anything but what they are supposed to be.

i know the css is bad and needs a lot of work to make it cross browser friendly. that isnt what the issue is, that is more of a warning for anyone who is kind enough to take a look at what is going on.

also, i cannot log in.

as a matter of fact i no longer seem to have a user section in the database.

i have 16 tables in the database and the user aint one.

i cannot post anything with debug information because it seems to be dead.

i am worried its because i got moved from one host to a different host directory to a different spot with a subaccount. which as far as i know means the paths change to point into an additional folder. i dunno.

any suggestions or questions that i can answer to add more information to the fire please let me know.

after reading around a bunch i tried changing the .htaccess and i have made sure the config.php is correct.

Sounds like your database is corrupt.

Re: 404 with my hands in the air

Sure. Go into phpMyAdmin, and “repair” your tables. :)

Re: 404 with my hands in the air

i rushed off like a bunny to check this out.

the repair worked but nothing seems to be different.

atleast it said the repair worked. i have no reason to not trust it.

here is the <a href=“http://www.deadintherain.com/img/databasescreen.gif” target=”_blank”>screen</a> of my tables.

and thank you both very much for the help.

Re: 404 with my hands in the air

‘repair’ can’t fix everything. The txp_user table is missing, perhaps other data also. You’ll need to restore a backup or install from scratch.

It’s likely whoever moved your database didn’t do it right. You should talk to them.

Re: 404 with my hands in the air

alright.

the outlook is a touch grim.

im sending out an email to the host in hopes they have a copy.

through my infinite fore thought and planning i don’t happen to have a backup on my system.

Ooo, that’s not good. Well, a tip for future reference: this plugin makes backing up a breeze. Once it’s setup (which only takes about a minute), then it’s just one-click-backup.
