Display a category page using a different template from home

I want to display a page with all articles from one category. But the tenplate used should be different from the homepage. I don’t want to use sections, because some articles are from 2 categories so it’ll have to work with categories as well. The categories page should also use a different template from the individual article page.

I searched through the site, but all solutions seem to be pointing towards using sections or writing a plugin. I hope this is possible using the standard textpattern installation.

Re: Display a category page using a different template from home

I don’t think so: this will still load the list in the same page, right?

i tried using the form to call another page, but it will only accept modules:
<txp:article_custom category="boeken" form="categorie" />

I modified the homepage too much to use it for anything other than the homepage. So how can i use article_custom to load in a different page?

I am now changing it all to sections, which are working, but i cannot use multiple sections for an article of course. So no “new” and “books” for new books.

Create a new section. Use article_custom on it.
