I spent several weeks setting up the layout in NucleusCMS. Then I found out about Textpattern: “Presentation” setup took 1 day. The simplicity and logical organization make it a breeze; the whole Presentation and Content separation immediately seemed familiar. This is fantastic, had I more time and PHP skill I would have created a CMS very much like this. The selection of PunBB for the forum is also interesting, because it’s my preferred forum as well. And I love Textile. This is all incredibly refreshing having dealt with NucleusCMS and Plone in the past.

Hey, you’ve traveled the same road as I.
Textpattern seemed familiar to me also after having used Nucleus CMS for the last couple of years. I’m still getting the hang of Textpattern but it’s starting to come together after using it for the last six months. I’m also a big fan of PunBB, you’ll see me on their forums also.
