stuck with this section problem!
Hi,
I have a problem. Ive been learning/using textpattern to develop my site. As its progressed its turned out that ive ended up using the default page as an archive. Ive basically taken advantage of the fact that articles from other section can be displayed in this section.Ive created another section that im wanting to use as my front page with an article limit of one with the intention of limiting the default page to 20 or so articles and then adding features like archives by date and category. Every time a new article is posted in my front page section the old one gets shoved in to the default section.
So everything was working fine until i realised i needed to swap things about in sections to make it that my front page ( the one with an artile limit of 1) appeared first when you go view site. I did this but the problem is now that my arhcives section doesnt work because it was reying on the fact that eveything can be displayed on the default page in textpattern as well as the section it was posted in.
Ive tried creating another section and taking all the code from my default section and put it in but, of course it doesnt work.
Is there any way i can sort this? Id move my new section and put the default page back in default back but i need the section ive created to be the first page displayed.
any ideas? Hope this makes sense!

Re: stuck with this section problem!
What code are you using to output articles on your ‘archive’ page?
If you’re using <a href=“http://textpattern.net/wiki/index.php?title=Txp:article_/”><code><txp:article /></code></a> you may need to replace it with <a href=“http://textpattern.net/wiki/index.php?title=Txp:article_custom_/”><code><txp:article_custom /></code></a>
Or you could use the <a href=“http://textpattern.org/plugins/55/rsssuparchive”><code>rss_suparchive</code></a> plugin or similar to generate your archives.
