a personal site
Hello,
I have been using Textpattern for my personal site for almost a year. Basically it is a all-in-one jotter for my blog, portfolio, and résumé.
The site is ever evolving to get better, so there may be some little problems here & there, but I doubt these will affect your viewing experience.
Please browse to http://www.teckhua.info to take a look. I would be glad to hear your comments.
Thank you.

Not bad. Open, clean, flexible design, and I like that you’ve made accessibility a priority. My only design comment is to lose the large clock — seems weird. My only technical comment is to rethink your accesskeys. They go virtually un-used because of poor browser implementation, and you’ve used letters that interfere with the operation of screen reading devices. I did some research on this awhile ago and have decided to only use a few select number keys for basic functionality.

Looking at your site in widescreen. The header wave is funky. Good looking site. Clean and easy to get around. Well done.

Hi Kevin & Edward!
First of all thanks for your time dropping by and offer your views.
The clocks were put up just for experiment & fun; eventually I’ll replace these with some content, say books/music/movie recently read/listened/watched.
For the accessskeys, the plug-in I used was amended to insert the first letter of the link text labels as the keyboard shortcuts. It is a quick and easy way to achieve my objective to have some accessibility on my site. Adhering to some standards certainly would be nice. Your research on accesskey is very inspiring.
I found this article explaining the common misunderstanding that access keys to links conflicts with access keys to the menu bar in the browser if they use the same letters. I have no idea does this suggestion work for the assisting devices for I don’t have any means to verify.
Probably I should write an accessibility statement to clarify and link it explicitly on my site.
Thanks again!

Another thing you have to keep in mind is that access keys do not work the same way in all browsers. Alt+key works for Firefox (and maybe others, not sure), but in the new versions of Opera you hit Shift+Esc then choose the access key. This difference would be another good reason for an accessibility statement. I’m sure there are quite a few people that do not know about the access key functionality of their browser.
All in all, though, this is a nice site.

Thanks for your enlightening!
It’s a noble idea to cater for web accessibility aspects, but tough to implement across the board in reality to cover all areas. Too many factors to consider and constrains abound.
Glad that I learnt something from you people!
