Common "How Do I?" questions

A new FAQ item. I won’t post the contents here, since I expect it will change regularly.

Re: Common "How Do I?" questions

Cool, zem! Thanks!
I have learned some new tricks.

First, I think this post will fit better as an sticky post in the “How do I…?” forum category, dont you think that?

And finally, sorry, but I have to insist you to take a look at this feature request. :D

Re: Common "How Do I?" questions

Yes I also think a sticky in “How do I…” would be good for this.

Oh! I forgot that I have the power to move threads between forums!

But I also have forgotten that I cant make a thread sticky in the “How Do I…?” forum.

Please, administrators! fix my error and make this thread sticky.

Re: Common "How Do I?" questions

I have a question on development; sorry if this is not the place to do it but i’m on a hurry…..
How do you do the extract(lAtts.... etc, etc when you need a parameter of the tag to be an array?
If one of the Developers could help me please??
Thanx to you all

Re: Common "How Do I?" questions

extract(lAtts(array(
	'my_array_att' => array(),
), $atts));

No way special. You just set it up with whatever you want the default value to be. :)

Re: Common "How Do I?" questions

OK !! That’s so far allright; but my problem is that this array should bring values from the tag, and that way, at the moment I initialize it, those values from the tag are lost; thing I don’t want to happen; besides the default array values are none, because if the array is empty it does another thing; It would be like:
  • calling the tag from the template :

<txp:my_plugin my_array_att="1,2,3...N" />

  • and in php
    <pre>
    <code>
    if (!empty($my_array_att)) do something;
    else do other thing;
    </code>
    </pre>
    That’s my issue; any ideas or suggestions; … please?
    Thanx Mary in advance

Re: Common "How Do I?" questions

I installed textpattern in the root and all was well. I recently moved the index.php file and textpattern folder to /blog with no avail. Any help on moving installation to a subdirectory would be awesome. Thanks.
