move a comment to a different article?
Hello,
I got a comment on my site referring to an article that commenting had closed for. Is there a way for my to move the comment to the correct article?
Also is there a way to have commenting remain open for articles in a specific section?
Thanks for any insight, I’m more interested in the first question as it’s probably a lot easier to solve that the second ;)

You could enable comments for that article and post the comment yourself. You might need to temporarily change the close comments after date to never.

Yeah I thought of that but then the date and time would be off.
There has to be a way to just change that relationship in the database. It can’t be too terribly difficult.

Change the parent id of the comment to make it point to the other article. If you don’t know sql, you can try it with phpmyadmin, which is just pointing, clicking and changing the number. Make a backup, if you are unsure.
