Do you have an Archive Page?
I’m going to include either an archive page so someone that doesn’t visit the site frequently can keep up with different posts, or I’m going to just have a category section (trying to use cbs_category_list if you read my other post), where people can keep up with different posts that way. Wouldn’t either way serve about the same purpose? Or do I need both?

Re: Do you have an Archive Page?
if you go to the trouble of making an index or archive, might as well offer both – as they provide different ways of finding what you want, or getting an overview of what’s been published … (otherwise, just offer a search tool)

Oh yeah, forgot to mention the search. There will be a search also.

Re: Do you have an Archive Page?
It really depends on the kind of format you have.
My mom’s blog just has a date archive, powered my my date archive plugin. She posts pretty regularly, but about general, everyday stuff. Categories would be overkill.
My own blog (well, it’s more like a “tumblelog” most of the time) has a very simple archive, which uses Txp’s basic article list and paging. Categories would be overkill at this point. I can always create a category archive later if I get lots of posts which can actually be categorized.

Re: Do you have an Archive Page?
Yeah, maybe that’s the way to go at first, just not have a category section. I’m having trouble with the cbs_category_list code anway, if you’ve seen my other post.
These questions are really just hypotheticals anyway right now, as my site isn’t done. I’m just trying to lay it out the best possible way. Maybe I’ll just add an “archives” link to my navigation menu and have it display articles based on category there…I guess that would kinda be killing two birds with one stone?
