Comment previews doubled and misplaced

So i did a bunch of forum searches and still cant find any info on this. When you go to preview a comment it puts it on the page twice, and not where it’s supposed to be. I unchecked the “auto-append” thing already. Just wondering if anyone else had any ideas.

You need to add preview="1" to your comments_form tag.

ok so this is whats going on. apparently the comment previews always puts the preview above the <txp:article> and not down with the other comments. i read somewhere that in the latest version of txp we can put previews wherever we want, my version is: Textpattern · 4.0.1 My question is, am i stuck with comment previews like this . Or is there some way around the madness. I have auto-append turned off, and display comments as ordered list off. this is how I call comments from my page:

I just use those tags on the page, maybe thats my mistake. im not sure. And I’m sorry to be so much of a bother, this is the only part of learning TXP that has given me any trouble. Thanks a ton guys

Add to your form <txp:comments_preview />. By default, it will use the same form as <txp:comments />, but it can also be passed a different one to use through the “form” attribute. :)

Remember when 4.0.4 comes out, you won’t need this finagling anymore. :)
