Linking to a folder in the site root that is not a part of TextPattern
I recently installed TP in the root of a site and it is working properly. I am now trying to link to a photo gallery (http://gallery.menalto.com) outside of TP. None of the links are directing themselves to the various photo albums that are configured.
I tried setting up a temporary section/page within TP to point to the gallery but it doesn’t show up. I had to do this with the existing static website (a temp page that redirects to the old site).
Any suggestions as to what I might be overlooking?

Links in Textpattern work just like links in XHTML. They’re directing themselves to wherever you directed them. If you’re using relative URLs, make sure they’re correct.

Thanks for the quick reply. I am using direct links. The link takes me to the gallery’s home page but all links directed within Gallery are pointing to the wrong place, even though the configuration is correct. Could the presence of TP in the site root cause Gallery’s links to not function properly?
I’ve installed both on other sites, but they were sites that didn’t have TP in the site root, only in a specific NEWS section.

Could be any number of things. Hard to say without more info. A URL would help.

Well, it’s currently in a state of disarray. We’re in the middle of deleting and reinstalling the Gallery. Maybe a fresh start is the trick ;)
I’ll get back to you when I can share a link.
