Re: r162?: Forms not updating until a browser refresh

If there is a problem, then I would imagine the whole site would act the same, very odd.

Yup. Probably something else going on. Things to try:

  • clear your cache and try again – there might’ve been a stale cache entry.
  • switch to Test or Debug mode. This will turn caching off.
  • check the tag trace and make sure it really is showing the form you think it is
  • run a http sniffer like HTTPLook and see what’s going on. (‘200’ is a normal response; ‘304’ tells the browser to use its cached copy)

The site has been in testing mode from the start.

Seems to be working fine now; updated to r1634, changed the footer and all relevant pages show the correct revision number.

Switched to live mode, changed the rev number, clicked view site and it showed the changed number.

Go figure, I can’t ;)

PS. Should I be testing the stable code in Live mode?

Re: r162?: Forms not updating until a browser refresh

Generally we suggest Testing or Debug mode, since it’ll give more information about problems. But this particular feature requires Live mode to work, so yeah, some Live testing is important, particularly as we get close to a release.
