Emails - Don't want to publish them.

Me again. =D

I just noticed that if a user doesn’t put in a website URL, then their Email gets published instead, an example of that here at my website:

http://www.btw-net.com/journal/comments#c000009

(clicking on “tobey” will show you his email address)

I want to disable that so people don’t get spam and stuff, how would I do that?

Re: Emails - Don't want to publish them.

If you view source on that page, you’ll notice that the email address is encoded (in HTML entities). So it’s still safe from spam.

Textpattern, and the textpattern developers are very concerned about spam so those kinds of things are generally covered

You can also turn off commentor email display in Preferences.

Admin>Preferences>Advanced Preferences>Publish>Never display email

Not really. Just safe from the less intelligent automated spam bots. :)

Ah, that’s what I wanted. Much better.
