is it possible to...
I was just wondering if it is possible to change the index.php for textpattern to a different file name like maybe “main.php” or something to that effect.
I tried to do this with my installation of textpattern and it worked until I imported the sections from my old textpattern site. My website is currently set on clean URLs ( /section/title ).
here is a link to my website:
The reason I want to do this is because I want to have a splash page. is it possible for me to do this?
Thanks in advance,

There might be other ways to achieve a splash page other than renaming index.php.

As most servers are set up to check for index.html and index.htm before they check for index.php; when I want to do a splash page, I just make the splash static with a link to the index.php. One you enter the site it behaves as if the index.php is the entry page (which is normal). To block users (unless they deliberately type index.php) don’t put a link on the splash page – this is handy for things like “down for repairs” or “moving” notices. when you are done you can just rename the splash page with an innocuous extention and the server will ignore it or you can just delete it.
Not dynamic or high tech but it is simple and effective.
