Comments preview - not working - problem

First of all big apologies if the answer is on this forum already but have spent some time searching and not succeeded in fixing this so far.

Problem is that the comments preview function is not working

I did find a post that referred to the fact that using clean urls sometimes caused this problem – but am using messy urls and still get an http error 404 when I try to preview a test comment.

And this could possibly be due to the fact that I am a complete TP novice and have missed something obvious!

Am working to a deadline as the blog is work related and would really appreciate any help with this.

This is due to an oddity in IIS. I believe we work around this for the upcoming maintenance release.

In the meantime (until it is released) try these instructions:

I have tried that fix but unfortunately am still having the same problem – if it helps this is the url the comment preview is trying to link to:

http://www.conwylibraryservice.co.uk/lookingforward/id=14#cpreview

It looks like a clean url to me and I have set the admin options to use messy urls. (but not knowing much about this I may be wrong)

Ah, the fun of IIS-problems.
Out of curiosity: Have you made any changes to any files according to any other suggestions in the forums?

This should help you until the next release: Open the same file as above and add the following code on line 2 (it should be blank).
define('PARTLY_MESSY',true);
