Clean URLs on alternate domain

I am hosting my site as an alternate domain with Media Temple. Since (I believe) mt uses .htaccess to manage the alternate domain, the clean URLs in textpattern are not working.

Any solution for this?

I also have another doubt: Can Textpattern run on safe mode?

Problem solved. I saw another thread on the forum after much digging.

In the end, it was nothing to do with safe mode and all, but just a minor correction needed in the .htaccess file:

I changed the line: RewriteRule ^(.*) index.php

to: RewriteRule ^(.*) /index.php

Hope this is of some use to someone else hosting on media temple.
