It would be awesome if this tag had a “secure” attribute – that would output https:// – the only solution I came across was hand-coding those links otherwise.

I second this one. A plugin could substitute in for this easily, but I think this is one feature that should def. be rolled into the core….

Great! Yeah, I had to go the plugin route (btw if anyone needs a plugin that will reroute an insecure page to a secure server let me know…)
