Wordpress Import doesn't complete + downloading index.php
Hello! I’m trying to import my wordpress data, but it just can’t seem to get there.
I put in all my data, I click continue, it starts loading… and then the browser prompts me to download “index.php”. It never refreshes to a next screen and maybe 10 or so articles get imported before it prompts me to download. I tried [url=http://forum.textpattern.com/viewtopic.php?pid=111936#p111936]this here[/url] to see if it would help timeout error but that’s not working. I have less than 500 entries (and even fewer comments) so I don’t have a huge database and my server’s max timeout limit is 100059.
If it does end up impossible to fix this problem.. is there another way I can import without being too much of a headache?
Help would be much appreciated! Textpattern looks about like heaven right now and I’d love to switch. :D

Does it prompt you if you click on the starting site article?

Nope. Those work just fine. It’s only doing it during the import.

I haven’t given up yet, but alas.. I’m running out of ideas! I thought about trying to switch over to movable type and then switch, but movable type has the most gawd awful install instructions I’ve ever seen cough
I tried it again after waiting a while just incase it was a random server fluke, but still the exact same problem!

Semi Good news, yay! I managed to merge my two blogs in to Serendipity without any problem. But I still would rather like textpattern. (I haven’t checked to see if that’s supported for import, I’m just so happy to finally have those blogs squished together!)
Which kind of diagnostics do you need? I still have all my backups and such and I am willing to expirement to find a fix. XD

In the Textpattern admin interface there is a “diagnostics” sub-tab of the “admin” tab.
