default sections settings?

can someone tell me the default sections setting? – I deleted ‘archive’ by accident and when I click on an article link that is in a recent articles sidebar list it just gives me a page not found error . I guess this is the reason.

Re: default sections settings?

You deleted the page template ‘archive’, right? Just create a new page, and copy the default content from here onto it.

Re: default sections settings?

thnx. no, it was the section that I deleted i think – I’ve created a new one with this –
doesn’t seem to work.

Section name: archive
Section title: archive
Uses page: archive
Uses style: default
Selected by default? yes ?
On front page? yes ?
Syndicate? yes ?
Include in site search? yes ?

my recent articles sidebar links in my default template just give me not found errors.

Re: default sections settings?

If I recall correctly the section that is there on install is called ‘article’. Doesn’t matter, you can give it any name you like, but you’ll have to open up your articles I think, re-assign the section, and save them.

No, that wouldn’t help in this instance.

what creates the individual pages?

Pages are loaded from the database, no files are created.

hmm.. I’m still getting not found on individual links.

Did you read the FAQ? Try going back to messy urls. :)
