Disabling admin links
Hi all,
I wondered if you guys could give me a clue on how i can disable all the admin tabs except ‘files’ when a user logs on.
The idea is to give various ‘uploaders’ a log in that takes them straight to the files tab. I’ve followed an article to disable access to tabs. This works fine. However, i just wondered if it was possible to remove the tabs and text altogether and make the user go straight to the files tab when they log in.
I’d appreciate any tips, clues or answers.
Thanks,
Dufresne

Basically if their bookmark points to site.com/textpattern/?event=file , the login screen will come up and the next page will see is the files page. regarding disabling access to tabs, the article you found was the right one but removing the tabs all together might be the job of a plugin I think

Re: Disabling admin links
Thanks Colak,
Writing plugins is a little beyond my capabilities at the moment but the workaround you identified will work until i can get my head round it.
If anyone has any ideas on how this disable sub_tab plugin might work that’d be great.
Cheers,
