r1535 - lib/txplib_forms.php broke 'Use Textile' pref
The changes to lib/txplib_forms.php in r1535 broke the Textile formatting on the write tab.
The ‘Article Markup’ and ‘Excerpt Markup’ will change to ‘Convert linebrakes’ when switching to either the HTML or Preview tabs.
I’ve identified the problem, it lies with line 56. Due to the use of the identical operators (=). Changing them to equal operators () fixes the problem.

Update to the latest SVN r1542, that should solve it.
The same thing happened to me.
