Re: editing the individual article layout??

Create a new page or use if_section conditionals under Presentation>Pages. Then go to Presentation>Sections and change the page style to whatever you called your new page. Also, have you checked out The Textbook?

Re: editing the individual article layout??

hmm i’m not sure i understand what you’re saying.

when i click on the article id to get to it’s permlink it most definitely has markup applied to it (the right sidebar with the search/browser/textpattern logo)

for example, i want to take that search field out, but i see no where to do that.

this textile thing is really new and confusing to me

Login. Click on the tab that says “presentation”. Then click on the tab that says “pages”…

Uh, no it doesn’t. It brings you to the “pages” tab. The page named “archive” is the one you want to edit. ?

Re: editing the individual article layout??

gerald, i have the same problem.
my problem is here, in this page there’s a static article and it’s ok, below there’s a permlink to another article of that section. when i click on that permlink it goes to a page, this one that shows this sentence “non è più possible commentare questo articolo” (impossible to comment this article), but which form should i edit to remove that??

In page template ‘archive’, change
<code>
<txp:search_input label=“Search” wraptag=“p” />
</code>
into
<code>
<txp:if_article_list>
<txp:search_input label=“Search” wraptag=“p” />
</txp:if_article_list></code>
(This will not show the search field when viewing an individual article.)

In form ‘comments_display’ change
<code>
<txp:if_comments_allowed>
<txp:comments_form preview=“1” />
<txp:else />
<p><txp:text item=“comments_closed” /></p>
</txp:if_comments_allowed>
</code>
into
<code>
<txp:if_comments_allowed>
<txp:comments_form preview=“1” />
</txp:if_comments_allowed>
<txp:if_comments>
<txp:if_comments_allowed>
<txp:else />
<p><txp:text item=“comments_closed” /></p>
</txp:if_comments_allowed>
</txp:if_comments></code>
(If I’m not mistaken this will only show “non è più possibile…” if there are comments, but you have closed commenting after receiving them.)
