link page and other articles when clicked

is there a way to have it so on a page it shows just 1 page that has links to other articles in that section? but not displaying those articles on the main page only showing that page with the links

If that’s what you’re looking for, I used the <a href=“http://www.wilshireone.com/textpattern-plugins/rss-suparchive”>rss_superarchive plugin</a>. You can accomplish the same sort of thing with native tags, however.

i guess i could use an archive for the page, but i just want to display articles inside the same section (probably by category) and not the other ones on my site ….. basically how you have it i think? you have the “blog” section but all the articles arent showing until you click on the one you want to view

As you suspected—the articles linked to from my “blog” front page only belong to that section.

And if you want to organize by category, the quickest way may be the <a href=“http://www.wilshireone.com/textpattern-plugins/rss-suparchive-bycat”>rss_superarchive_bycat plugin</a>. But again, it’s also possible with native plugins with some more work on your part. I used a plugin on my own site because I was pressed for time, and kept using it because I’m lazy. :)
