Choose which category of articles are shown on my homepage
Hi.
I have 4 different categories that I use for my blog.
I want 3 of these categories to be show in the main blog but I want the 4th category only to be accessed by clicking a link from the navbar, NOT show those articles automatically on the main blog.
I’m guessing there is a way to do it but I can’t find it
Can anyone offer advice?
thanks

You might want to investigate textpattern’s section feature. Also see this technote Which articles go on the front page?

Try the chh_article_custom plugin. Both chh_article_custom and chh_article use the ‘category’ attribute that accepts multiple categories.

Also check the glx_if plugin. Provides you with a choice to have a separate front page.

Re: Choose which category of articles are shown on my homepage
thanks guys.
in the end I went with the suggestion to just use sections instead of categories and then tick the box that says “show on homepage” where appropriate.
thanks again
