'Null" is null or not an object
I have several clients where I am using textpattern with no issues.
In the process of setting up a new site, I now receive the above message (‘Null” is null or not an object) when I use the article tab or access an article.
If someone could please give me some direction on how I may resolve this I would appreciate it. I am uncertain if this has to do with a plug in conflict or something got corrupted in the database.
Beside having used more plug ins for this set up I have not done anything differently than before.

From a quick Google search, it seems it’s an javascript error. Which plugins do you have installed? Can you share a link to the site you’re setting up?

Mary sorry for the vague first post. ALso, I mispoke, it is not the article tab where the error message appears, but the write tab.
The exact error message I get when a blank write tab is open is:
Line: 166
Char: 2
Error: Null is Null or Not and Object
Code: 0
Url: ……/textpattern/index.php?event=article
Now if I go into an existing article, the line and char numbers change.
The error does not appear to stop me from doing anything, but I want to make sure it does not rear its ugly head down the road and want to know what may have caused it so that I do not see it in the future.
By the way, Mary I have to say that you are doing an awsome job keeping TextPattern moving foward, both with your plug ins, and your feedback on the forums. It is a great product and you and all the textpattern gurus should be commended for the effort.

Unfortunately, I had loaded a lot of plug ins I thought I was going to use (that was the first and last time I do that), and now have paired them down. I do not have a list of all that are loaded, but here are the current plug ins that are loaded:
- ajw_admin_workflow
- ako_spellCheker
- aro_slideshow
- azp_menugen
- fpx_image_import
- ign_password_protect

This is in Internet Explorer, correct? (Just so I know what I’m looking for…)

and let me know if you need more information from me ….
like I said, it does not seem to stop me from doing anything, but it does appear as an errror in the lower left of Internet Explorer ….

It’s probably a plugin. The best way to find out which is to disable them one by one, until the error disappears.

Thanks for the suggestion.
It is: ako_spellCheker that is the cause of the error. Turn it off and error goes away, turn it on an error appears.
