Problem with Category links
I have a problem with category links. I’ve created buttons, formatted like this:
<code>
<a href=“index.php?c=Marketing”><img src=“imgs/navs/marketing.gif” width=“91” height=“22” /></a>
</code>
These links (all of them) simply result in the same view as my “home” page. Articles have been written and categories applied. Categories match tags (case sensitive), etc… but all live articles appear, not just those with matching categories.
Site is here: http://www.marcomwriters.com
Thanks!

Re: Problem with Category links
For your links try /?=Marketing rather than index.php?c=Marketing. Also, you may need to add an article tag between a conditional <txp:if_category></txp:if_category>, so that you get an article list based on the category. Check out the tags in the wiki here

Re: Problem with Category links
Still confused…
Should’nt the tag: http://marcomwriters.com/index.php?c=Grammar
only list the articles in the Grammar category, in the default template?
Yet mine doesn’t do this. It shows all articles, regardless of category, just like the home page.
I even installed cbs_category_list… and looked at how it links… same deal, so it should work.
Changing a link to http://marcomwriters.com/index.php/?=Grammar had the same problem, with the addition of not finding any of the header graphic images, for some reason.
Not sure where the <if_category> tags mentioned in the answer should go… do I need a custom template just for category listings? Doesn’t make sense to me. If I can link by section, I should be able to link to categories… isn’t that the whole point of categories?
what am I missing, here?
