Main Navigation: Sections with sub-cats displayed when in that section
Hi,
Just curious if anyone knows of a menu plugin that will show all sections, and when you go to a section that has categories the categories display in the main nav as children of the section.
Example:
(we are on page “Links”)
Home
About
Links
L…….Cat1
L…….Cat2
L…….Cat3
News
Other
This is almost exactly like what I am looking for, but does not do sections:
azpmenugen
Any thoughts? Maybe I will start hacking-away at the above plugin to get the results I am looking for… Bout time I learned more about sql!
TIA,
Cheers,
Micky

Re: Main Navigation: Sections with sub-cats displayed when in that section
Not sure if anyone cares, but this is my current way of doing what I want just with TXP tags:
<code>
<dl>
<dt>Navigation</dt>
<dd><a href=”<txp:site_url />” accesskey=“1” title=”…”>Home</a></dd>
<dd><a href=”<txp:site_url />about” accesskey=“2” title=”…”>About</a></dd>
<dd><a href=”<txp:site_url />links” accesskey=“3” title=”…”>Links</a>
<txp:if_section name=“links”>
<ul>
<li><a href=”<txp:site_url />links/?c=links1” accesskey=“a” title=”…”>Links1</a></li>
<li><a href=”<txp:site_url />links/?c=links2” accesskey=“b” title=”…”>Links2</a></li>
<li><a href=”<txp:site_url />links/?c=links3” accesskey=“c” title=”…”>Links3</a></li>
</ul>
</txp:if_section>
</dd>
<dd><a href=”<txp:site_url />forum” accesskey=“4” title=”…”>Forum</a></dd>
</dl>
</code>
Pretty simple… I have yet to add the “current” link class/id…
It would be nice to have a plugin that would do the same as above.. but maybe manually doing it is better for site speed.
Open to suggestions.
Cheers,
Micky
