plugin: zem_contact -- emails not being received
I’ve installed and set up the zem_contact plugin. The form seems to be submitting—even telling me “Email enquiry sent” after I press the submit button. However, I haven’t been receiving any of the emails, even after checking them on two different accounts and disabling spam filters. Any ideas as to what’s going wrong?

WOW! Small world.
I’ve been using zem_contact on a few sites for quite some time with great results. Mind you, the sites are all hosted with textdrive.
However… I just zem_contact on a site hosted elsewhere (a very reputable company) and for the life of me CAN NOT get it to work. Would “register_globals on” have an effect on the plugin?

OK… narrowing thing down.
Try using a different email address. The one that came with your ISP.
I just changed the zem_contact mailto:ray@myisp.com. Everything works fine. If I use any of the email addresses associated with textdrive the email never makes it through.
lifelongactivist, where is your site hosted?

Hi Ray—
I’ll try using an email registered with my ISP. I’ve already tried with five other emails—none were receiving.
I’m going through a guy running his own server, which might be part of the problem. Could PHP in safe mode possibly be part of it?

OK. Not sure why but… if I use an email address that’s not associated with the server the site is hosted on then the emails don’t go through. It looks like they go through when the form is filled out and I hit send but they never make it to their final “mailto” destination. This only happens with a site hosted with webcore (a very good firm BTW)
On Textdrive and Mediatemple hosted sites I can set the “mailto” to anything I want and the emails reach their intended destination.
So…. what does all this mean? I’m gonna walk away for awhile and come back to it in the morning. Sorry I couldn’t be more help. Best of luck 8 )
EDIT – Sat morning
Woke up to a dozen+ emails in my inbox. Must have been a server thing. Oh well. Fun and games ; )

Strange. I’ll contact my host and see what’s up. I figure it’s a server thing and not a plugin thing. Thanks for your help!
