context sensitivity + multiple categories using chh_article_custom
I’m trying to add two things to my articles: context sensitivity (to the section) and multiple categories. The standard article and article_custom tags are not able to do this
Chh_article_custom is described as being able to do this but its not behaving as expected
- im unable to set a form as attribute, it just gives me the hyperlinked title of the article
- it doesn’t listen to category attribute: category=”news” still displays articles from categories other than news
About the form attribute, the info for this plugin says “Setting this attribute makes the tag context-sensitive, so that it displays a single article on article pages and an article list on all other pages. If this attribute is not set, the tag will always return an article list” – can anyone explain what this means?
Is there another plugin that might be appropriate?
I need someone to protect me from all the measures they take in order to protect me

Re: context sensitivity + multiple categories using chh_article_custom
First, it’s really better to ask questions about a plugin in the plugin thread. That said, I’ll answer what I can but if it doesn’t help you please go over there.
-im unable to set a form as attribute, it just gives me the hyperlinked title of the article
You’ll have to point to the right form of course. If you have the attribute form=“yourform” and ‘yourform’ only contains <txp:permlink><txp:title /></txp:permlink>, that’s what you’ll get. So ‘form’ has to be a different one than ‘listform’.
About the form attribute (…) – can anyone explain what this means?
Well, it means about just what it says… if you have both the attributes ‘form’ and ‘listform’ in the tag, it will use the article form specified with the ‘listform’ attribute for article lists, and when you click a permlink in that list, it will display the individual article using the article form specified with the ‘form’ attribute. Context-sensitive in this case meaning article list vs. individual article.
Is there another plugin that might be appropriate?
Appropriate for what? We don’t know what it is you want to do.

Can you show me the exact tag you’re using?
