Changing the default page that tags render on

There are a number of tags that only render on a the default page, such as <txp: author />

This is an issue when you’ve set the default page to a splash page rather than a page that renders article content.

How do i change the the default of where the domian points to or change the default of where tags like <txp:author /> points to.

I suppose that would be done the same way as showing category lists on a section page: try Stuart’s example.
