unable to edit plugins (503 error)

I’m trying to edit a plugin but every time I hit “save” I get a 503 error, service temporarily unavailable. This has been for more than 24hrs now and all the rest of txp work fine

Does anyone know what can cause an error like this, something to do with permissions?

Re: unable to edit plugins (503 error)

If ot only happens when editing plugin-code (as opposed to also when editing css/forms/pages/articles etc.), then it is likely a case of over-sensitive filters from your host: they are blocking your request because they suppose it is an attack on your website (due to the php-code that you are sending). See this FAQ entry:

http://textpattern.com/faq/89/412-precondition-failed
(yes, error-codes vary, depending on the configuration)

You should with your host about this.
