Two-column float layout problem

I have a problem with a two-column float layout in IE/Win 6.0 (XP SP-2) that I can’t seem to fix. I’ve done two-column layouts plenty of times before, however, I can’t figure out for the life of me why the columns aren’t working. The left column comes first in the HTML and is floated left. The right column comes after the left and is not floated, however it has a margin-left of 502px which would put it completely on the other side of the left column. Check out this diagram to see an example. The live problem can be found here
