Re: Plugin Requests

There a couple plugin requests in the Feature Requests area of the wiki. Not sure if they’re still alive, but let’s keep it together. Oh, and I’m going to add the multilingual publishing feature to the plugin request section too.

Re: Plugin Requests

Couple more supporting resources for the PayPal gig…

From the integration center you can get to SDKs, test beds, and so forth.

Re: Plugin Requests

Extension Idea: Add in administrator panel, possibility to define what sections user can edit or no. Maybe it can be a new level of user?

For me it would be super-important, I hope someone will help, and do this.

Re: Plugin Requests

I want to pledge 100 Euro for the Multilingual support, but I can yet not give a definition about what I mean by that,
that might be discussed later though, as I am sure, that I’m not the only one who needs it.

Basically I want the possibility of complete parallel content architecture with a symmetric URL scheme
e.g.: www.example.org/en/section/title/ and www.example.org/el/section/localized-dyrified-title/
From the backend this needs to be visible possibly from one pane.

For instance the two language version titles need to be visible next to each other also from write>articles and so on.

And article IDs should be identical.
The backend doesn’t need to have a localized language version. It can remain in english.

It should also be possible to omit the either or other version for certain articles.
And what would be much desirable as well, would be a custom txp tag with the functional behavior of “link_to_xx_version” vice versa.
Possibly all this could probably be done with the next generation of Textpattern where sections can be nested, but I don’t want to wait for that one.
I know, the pledge is very little and I will augment it possibly. I just want to wait also for other Ideas what is considered as multilingual.

regards, marios

Re: Plugin Requests

That draft looks pretty interesting, but it looks like it would take a considerable amount of time to get implemented.

Wouldn’t it be desirable to have some kind of simpler short-term implementation at hand, for small and medium projects, that do not have a lot of requirements, like the one mentioned concerning administrative privileges ?

That could then in turn prove useful to get the first evaluation results, before elaborating on it further.

regards, marios
