Re-design of ThroughItAll.net
I just finished the redesign of ThroughItAll.net
I had tried to last night unsuccesfully, because of some trouble with Internet Explorer, so I scrapped the idea and went with a darker site.
I dropped the SIFR method for titles, because I noticed it was slowing down some computer I tested the site on. I also minimized the number of images used on the right menus. I think this design is a little more simple and organized. Hopefully you all enjoy it.
by the way, it is web standards compliant

matthew,
You may check the clearing on the .post img element
notice that some of the pictures overlap the player if the text is not long or large enough to wrap past the image.
I like the grey.
I like the pink.
well suited.
The img could use atleast 4 px top padding as well.
it would keep it off the post title.
Looking good.

thanks for the feedback
how would you suggest I deal with the images? I try to keep them small enough so that they won’t run into the download box, but would there be an easier way to do that?

Re: Re-design of ThroughItAll.net
Hey…..just do this:

.listenlink
{
padding:6px;
border: 1px black solid;
background-color:#262626;
margin:6px;
display:block;
clear: right;
margin-top: 10px;
}

That
margin-top
is just a guess….but the
clear: right
, should handle it. (If you want to have left and right floating pics within articles, make it
clear:both;

Re: Re-design of ThroughItAll.net
I really dig this design! May I suggest a bump in line height? It’ll just increase the readablity and open it up a little bit. Otherwise it’s fantastic.
