Unable to create new categories

Hi all,

I was adding sections and categories manually via phpmyadmin and accidently screwed something up, I think I deleted some rows from txp_categories

When logged into textpattern, I try to add an article category. It says “article category X created” but when writing a story, the category drop down list doesn’t show. There are also no categories listed under “article categories” in the organize tab. Link, file and image categories act normal.

I compared the txp_category with one from a clean install and it seems there is a column missing – “collation”. Can this explain why the article categories are messed up?

The “root” row for my articles was missing
