Error uploading images after moving installation from a subdirectory
Hello,
I am having trouble uploading images after moving my installation from a subdirectory to the root of the domain. I have followed the steps in the FAQ about this subject. When I attempt to upload a picture, it tells me directory permissions must be 777 but the directory that it lists is the old one. I have double checked my config.php, my .htaccess and every where else I can think of to see why it is still looking in the old path instead of the new one, but all to no avail. The installation was in a subdirectory like this domain.com/test and is now in domain.com.
Any suggestions on why this is the case? The site seems to work correctly otherwise. The existing pictures that were uploaded do show up correctly. I have restarted Apache in case this made a difference. Is there any kind of cache that could be part of textpattern that could be affecting this?
Thanks for any help!
Joshua

Re: Error uploading images after moving installation from a subdirectory
As a follow on to this message, I just checked the diagnostics on this site. It has several errors, but they all seem to be created by the line that begins with “path_to_site is inaccessible”. It still has the old subdirectory path in it. How do I change the path_to_site? This seems to be the root of the error. Thanks for any help.

Re: Error uploading images after moving installation from a subdirectory
I don’t know why my messages are double posting. I fixed the problem using phpMyAdmin. I went to the txp_prefs table and then the path_to_site field and edited the value that was there. Does anyone know why this was not updated by the other changes made? Perhaps this is a bug.

Did you change the path to site in config.php?
You also need to change the path (if needed) admin preferences and in admin advanced preferences
Also do post your diagnostics here

The value in the DB is udpated as soon as you visit the the front-page of your site.

Re: Error uploading images after moving installation from a subdirectory
Well, I know for a fact that I had visited the front page numerous times and it did not update this value. Anyway, it is working now so I’m not worried about it. Thanks for all your help!
