Globally update categories?

Hi,

If I have fifty posts with a category of “foo”, is there any quick and easy way to make them all change to a category of “bar”?

I wondered if this is possible with mysql? I’m happy enough with going into phpmyadmin and running mysql commands if necessary – but I don’t know anything about mysql so have no idea what commands to run.

Any ideas welcome.

Cheers

Iain

Re: Globally update categories?

Well, I’m sure there’s probably a MySQL option, but I too have no clue about databases. If there aren’t any posts in “bar,” what if you went to content>categories and changed the name and title of “foo” to “bar”?

Re: Globally update categories?

If you change the name of a category, all articles in it are updated as well, so that won’t be a problem. You might want to consider changing only the category title, to avoid changing the url’s as well?

Thanks! (Feel a little stupid for not having tried that, now…)
