Recent comments

I am trying to create an article list based on recent comments. I don’t think I can use <txp:recent_comments> or a similar plugin because I need to include information from custom fields.

Using <txp:article_custom /> and <txp:if_comments> within a listform I’ve managed to get a list of recent articles that happen to have comments, but not a list of articles that have had recent comments.

Any suggestions?
