"Site URL" same as parent directory

Greetings to everyone.

I guess this has already been asked before, but I can’t find it here. (May be I was wrong on my search terms)

What I want:
I have a website hosted at a subdomain, and txp installed into a directory under this subdomain. (similar to me.example.com/txp/)
What I want is: to use txp to manage pages in the root folder much similar to this Wordpress’ functionality . So, for example, me.example.com/about would display an about page from txp.

Any links or tips for this, please?

Thanks a lot.
Ene m.

Re: "Site URL" same as parent directory

Install Textpattern in the root, instead of in the “txp” subdirectory.

Thanks for your reply.

I also have other things in the root folder. Hence, managing the files (and identifying which file belongs to what) is a pain. That is why I wanted it to run from its own subdirectory, but NOT show the directory in the url, i.e., people would think the pages are in my subdomain’s root.

Well, installing it in the root isn’t a big deal like WordPress, there’s only a couple files (.htaccess, index.php) and folders (files, images, textpattern).
